The list of entertainers for Dakota's 3rd Birthday Celebration/Marrow Drive which will be held in Window Rock at Nakia Hall on the fairgrounds August 2nd is listed below. Oscar Correa, the National Marrow Donor Program coordinator, will be there from Phoenix to give people a chance to join the national Registry. This includes filling out an application and having a finger-prick test.

Miss Indian World, Onawa Lacy, will be attending Dakota's Birthday

celebration. She plans to join the Registry and enjoy the music.

The Apache Crown Dancers who performed at the Olympics in Salt Lake

City are driving all the way from White Mountain, Arizona as well as country singer Vincent Craig. We are looking forward to hearing Nate Begay and the rest of this wide variety of musical talent.

Oscar will also be in Window Rock on Friday when all government

Employees of the Navajo Nation will have an extended lunch break in order to join the Keep the Circle Strong Program of the National Registry. At noon on Friday 1st Vice President Frank Dayish, Jr. will lead a motorycycle run thru Window Rock to kick start the celebration.

Native Americans only comprise one percent of the five million people

Of the registry so when people of native decent need a marrow donor, like three year old Dakota Kwiecinski who suffers from HLH, the chances of finding a match are slim. With the understanding, education, and compassion of the Navajo Nation these low statistics are on the rise.
